Silicone Babies Are Real Life Baby Dolls
Having discovered my first realistic and lifelike looking baby doll on the back of a magazine I knew that I had to have one. I now own that particular version which is what is known as a reborn baby doll and it would be fair to say that I am completely head over heels in love with her.
These silicone babies are some of the most difficult but rewarding creations for anybody to make and I would not fancy the job of being reborn doll artist. Many of the dolls are custom made to order so it’s not like they are being produced in the thousands like you would expect for any other popular product. But it this attention to detail and love of the craft that makes each and every silicone baby unique and special to its eventual owner.
In fact it’s often the case that there is no mould used or anything like that to create these models, but instead each one is handcrafted to order. This is often the way things are done when a reborn doll artist receive a custom-made request that they are bound to fulfil.
It’s up to the buyer to do with the doll as they please once they receive it. While many will simply keep them in their casing and gave admiringly at them from time to time, others prefer to get more hands-on and take them out of the packaging as soon as they receive them to dote on them and play with them as though they were real life children. This is exactly what I did as soon as I got my hands on my Paradise Galleries creation three months ago.
You would think that after three months I would be getting tired of feeling and looking after my little loved one, but with each day that passes than those that I have for her grows ever stronger. And before you think that I am just a child I will have you know that I am actually 43 years of age and have a family of my own! That’s not to say that there aren’t some strange women out there who treat these dolls as though they were a real member of their family or even worse, replace their family or children altogether with one of these. I certainly wouldn’t fall into this category but I do enjoy playing with my little lifelike silicone babies doll as often as possible.
What’s the harm in it I often say. While my husband would be downstairs playing the Xbox, the children would be in their room playing the PlayStation, and since I’m not too concerned with playing computers or watching television I prefer to spend my free time playing with, brushing her hair, and feeding my cute little friend.
I have been considering getting a new silicone baby for a while now and since the one that I have at the minute is a girl I have been thinking about getting a cute little boy for her to play with. I have seen that there are some African-American silicone babies for sale and I have been debating with myself whether or not to get one of these or should I just go with an order Caucasian baby doll. Maybe I will get both but I don’t want to turn into one of these crazy women who start a collection that ends up getting out of hand. Maybe it’s best after all if I just stick with the doll that I have at present!
